The investment team at KLM Retail recently acted on behalf of Hermes Investment Management in the long leasehold sale of 21 St George’s Street in Canterbury, Kent to Vabeld Real Estate Holdings for £4.02 million.


The 19,630 sq ft property is located in a prime pitch on St Georges Street opposite the Whitefriars shopping centre. The store has been occupied by discount retailer Poundland since 2010 and there is 9 years remaining on the lease. The current rent is £310,000 a year. Freeholder of the property is Canterbury County Council.
